Yo, my name is Jeffrey Dawson, and this is my story about how I started making $80,000 working from home.
It started way back in November 2023 when I graduated from High-school and started thinking what would the next chapter of my life look like. Being in Essequibo, there aren’t as many opportunities available for persons fresh out of school as one would find in Georgetown but being only 17 my mother wasn’t too big on the idea of me moving to GT to find a job.
After Christmas 2023 is when it really hit me as January 2024 came and I was still without work. The uncertainty of not having a job was daunting, especially because many persons my age already had one, but that also opened my mind to new opportunities for me to explore. My mom knew that I always loved drawing and signed me up for a course in Photoshop with 592 Solutions Earner’s Academy. Unlike most computer courses available in Guyana it was very affordable at only $6000 GYD per month. Being that she is a single mom, I was happy that it didn’t cost her/us an arm and a leg.
I was quickly assigned a Media Production & Marketing Tutor who briefed me for about an hour and then instantly started me off on my journey with a daily list of tasks to complete. With time, I was introduced to graphic design, something I’d known little about and had never imagined I could have ever found myself doing, but I had to start somewhere. Under the guidance of my media tutor I started learning the basics. While doing some research I quickly realized I was acquiring a skill that I can later offer as a service. My tutor also helped me to understand the kind of freedom I can have if I can develop the discipline master the skills being taught and also completing the daily assigned tasks. In the beginning it was very challenging but despite the challenges, I remained persistent.
Using Photoshop To Add Logos To Photos
I kept performing my daily list of tasks and also doing extra tutorials in my free time and by February, I had landed my first job where I was now getting paid for searching for, downloading & adding logos to photos. Additionally I began learning Social Media Marketing as I was also responsible for scheduling & posting photos to a variety of Facebook Pages, one of which is Where Is Guyana Facebook page. At the time the pay was only $10,000 per week, not much, but it gave me hope and a sense of direction. I dedicated myself to improving my skills and expanding my knowledge. A few weeks later, I started editing videos and posting them on the same page. Through hard work and determination, I started to do more and gradually increased my earnings.
Later on, I started editing videos for Magic City Tours & Transportation, then I did the same for Visit St. Maarten St. Martin as I did for the first page. At times, it was very hard because now I had to devote myself to two things at once. As the months passed, I found a rhythm that worked for me.

Working from home gave me the flexibility to balance my work and personal life better. Discipline and perseverance is most definitely necessary if one is going to follow this route of working from home but the rewards is much worth it. Though I report daily to my tutor & success coach, I feel as if I’m my own boss because I set my own hours and get to work without having someone looking over my shoulder all of the time. Additionally I can work from anywhere in Guyana and the world for that matter once I have an internet connection. I also go to the gym now 4 times a week but best of all being apart of the Earner’s Academy has enabled me to be able to support my mother and make my own little contribution to our home. It wasn’t always easy, and there were moments of doubt, but I kept pushing forward.
In the Beginning My Brother collected my first 2 payments and my Aunt collected the other payments for me since. But I’ve recently gotten my own MMG account setup and can now get paid directly.
Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. What started as a challenging situation turned into a great very much enjoyable opportunity for personal and professional growth. Working from home not only provided me with stability but also the freedom to pursue my passions. I’m now learning of the power of Affiliate Marketing and am already making additional income from referring sales of a variety of products & services online. My goal is to not just master the creative skills which i enjoy but also to master the art of making money online even when I sleep, something that I would have never even imagined possible when I started this adventure back in January.
